Clearly this is a Great Horned Toad Death Mask. Consider yourself lucky to have found it...they are very rare!


It's a souvenir from Mexico, which seemed completely practical when purchased far from home. My children would think it was cool. :-)

An interesting find indeed!

It looks very similar in style to woodcarvings from the Oaxaca region of Mexico. They're a pretty popular import.
